Influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been charged in the United Kingdom with multiple serious offenses, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Andrew Tate, 38, faces 10 charges related to three women, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain.

Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges related to one woman, including rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm.

The charges were authorized in January last year, but this is the first time the CPS has confirmed the criminal charges against the brothers in Britain. The Tate brothers, dual US and British citizens, moved to Romania in 2016 and were arrested there in late 2022. They have been formally indicted in Romania on charges of participating in a criminal ring that allegedly lured women for sexual exploitation. Both brothers have denied all the allegations in Romania.

A European arrest warrant was issued in 2024 at the request of Britain’s Bedfordshire Police, and a Bucharest court has ordered the extradition of the brothers to the UK once the criminal case in Romania is concluded.

In addition to these charges, the Tate brothers are also facing other legal issues. In Romania, they are charged with trafficking minors, sexual relations with minors, and money laundering. In the UK, four women have filed a civil lawsuit against Andrew Tate, accusing him of rape, coercive control, and sexual assault between 2013 and 2015. Andrew Tate also faces a complaint in Los Angeles from his ex-girlfriend, who accuses him of sexual assault, abuse, and gender violence.
